The curriculum meets the international requirements of COPAES, which establishes the following attributes for engineers.
A. Identify, formulate and solve complex engineering problems by applying the principles of basic sciences and engineering.
B. Apply, analyze and synthesize engineering design processes that result in projects that meet specified needs.
C. Develop and conduct appropriate experimentation; analyze and interpret data and use engineering judgment to establish conclusions.
D. Communicate effectively with different audiences.
E. Recognize their ethical and professional responsibilities in situations relevant to engineering and make informed judgments that must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental and social contexts.
F. Recognize the permanent need for additional knowledge and have the ability to locate, evaluate, integrate and apply this knowledge appropriately.
